Citizen Cope - The Son’s Gonna Rise
An oldie, but a goodie. The only truly good song I ever got for free from iTunes.
The Airborne Toxic Event - Sometime Around Midnight
Slightly older (album released last summer), but still loving it. Has been back in the regular rotation for the last week or so.
And it starts… sometime around midnight or at least that’s when you lose yourself for a minute or two

Clues - Perfect Fit
The buzz has been building about Montrealites Alden Penner and Brendan Reed’s band Clues. This group delivers eccentric indie rock goodness that wobbles on the fence between offbeat and familiar. “Perfect Fit” is a good gateway track with this building effect paced by the staccato piano which breaks into moments of dramatic pauses and finally culminates with guitars firing off power chords in full rock glory. Sold? Then mark your calendars for their self-titled album out May 19th on Constellation Records.
Personally, I’m not entirely sold on the last minute or so of the song; but the rest of it is pretty much…a perfect fit! HA - see what I did there?!
Sigur Ros vs. Mobb Deep - Shook [Emancipator Mashup]
Not a big fan of mashups usually, but this one is simply amazing! Blissful, phenomenal, [insert superlative], and so forth. (THEMIXTAPE via The Hype Machine)
Cameo - Word Up
Song of the day, celebrating a good day banking coin on the short side.
Madcon - Beggin’
Best European hip-hop of all time? I think so!
(Granted, they needed a brilliant Frankie Valli original to get them started.)
